Frequently Asked Questions
Where do you service?
Snake River Wine Tours serves the Sunnyslope Wine Trail (Caldwell) about 40 minutes from downtown Boise. We can offer a general pick-up location such as Downtown Boise, The Village of Meridian, or the Indian Creek Plaza in Downtown Caldwell, or an at home or hotel pick-up with private groups of 10 people within the Treasure Valley (Location subject to approval).
Can I choose which wineries we visit?
At this time, we visit wineries that have availability. We would be happy to take requests but can not make any guarantees. We visit up to four wineries in an afternoon. Check them out here.
I have no idea which wineries we should visit. Can you help?
Of course! We have a vast knowledge of the local wineries and can customize your wine tour to fit your preferences.
How do I pay?
Click “Book Tours” on our website to view our availability calendar and choose your desired date. For large private groups of 10+ passengers, you will pay for the group in one transaction. That will alert our system that your tour is private and closed to the public.
How long is the tour?
Monday-Friday: Pickup is around 11am, drop off around 5:30pm. Saturday-Sunday pickup is around 10am, drop off around 4:45pm. We allow about an hour at each winery. The itinerary will be sent to the host of your group at least 24 hours in advance.
Can I drink alcohol in the vehicle?
Unfortunately our insurance will not allow it.
Can we bring our own lunch?
Yes! You are more than welcome to bring a lunch or picnic to enjoy at one of the wineries (based on winery restrictions). All of our tours include water and packaged snacks. We also offer individual charcuterie trays as an add-on. Some wineries offer small bites for sale or may have a food truck on the weekends.
Is there an off-season for wine tasting?
Absolutely not! Spring, summer, and fall are definitely the busiest times of the year. Although winter is slower, almost all of the wineries are still open for tastings!
What if I want to book a tour during the week?
Contact us and we would love to coordinate a customized tour for you! Most of the wineries are open Friday-Sunday, but there a few that are open 7 days a week including Koenig Vineyards, Hat Ranch Winery, Ste. Chapelle Winery, Sawtooth Estate Winery, and Huston Vineyards. We really enjoy weekday wine tours, they offer a more relaxed experience!
Can I rent a van for something other than the wine tour?
Definitely! The Mercedes-Benz Sprinter or Ford Transit would be perfect for transportation to local events such as private dinners, concerts, sporting events, corporate and company parties, dances, holiday light tours, and other special events. Contact us for information here.
Are masks required?
At this time, masks are not required in Canyon County.
Can I get a refund?
We do not offer refunds. All ticket sales are final. You may give your seat to someone else for your scheduled tour if possible.
